Bev returned to work today to do her 4 hours.  She said the time goes by so fast.  She handles the 4 hours very well and looking for the day that she can stay a little longer.  But Dr. Bydon only wants her to work 12 hours a week.

Nothing else happening.  It’s Monday so it’s slow.

Tomorrow is PT night.  So until tomorrow I will close.  Keep smiling, praying and send those comments.

Today was a work day for Bev.  She really enjoys  going in for a few hours to work.  It has helped her a lot.  I picked her up around Noon and took her home to rest.  Her afternoon laying down helps her also.

I cooked some chicken for her and boys to eat for dinner.  Then I was off to my house.  Everything was quite there.

Will get back tomorrow for an update.  Tomorrow is our day for the store and food in her hot rod.  Motorized wheelchair.  She has gotten pretty good on it.

Have a great weekend and keep prayers in your heart and smile on your face.  Be kind this weekend to those that are disable or handicap.  Reach out to them and give them a helping hand.

No work for Bev today she returns to GSFC tomorrow for 4 hours.  However, she has been working at home on the computer to keep her work up to date.

Tonight we had PT.  We have come to the conclusion that 3 times a week is a bit much for her now that she is back to work for 4 hours.  They really work her there and she gets tired.  See pictures:

This is important to her to be able to walk around the PT Gym twice

Lifting, shaking and pulling so the shoulder will relax

Best part of PT - After all the pulling, shaking, walking, and lifting she gets Ultra sound to relax the arm and shoulder.

Beverly is tired so homeward bound we go.  She will sleep good tonight and be ready for a day at work tomorrow.

Keep those smiles on your faces.  Stop in to see her at work.  Keep thoughts and prayers in your heart.  Please put a hand out and help those that are disable or handicap.  This will mean the world to them.  God Bless.

This was Beverly’s 2nd  day at Goddard.  She is handling this really well.  Nice to be back for a few hours.  See picture:

Sitting at her desk ready to start the day.

She had PT tonight but was tired after going to work for 4 hours.  They worked the legs and feet today.  More for her balance.  See pictures:

This is the cross over - She steps up and over to the other side.

She did very well with the new leg and feet excercise.  She did say her legs were tight and hurting some.  New muscles used tonight.

Each day brings something new to her progress.  Keep those prayers coming, comments posted and that smile on your face.  Reach out and help a disable person because you never know when it will hit home.

Beverly had a rest day from going into the office.   However,  she worked at home with the work that she could do.  Tomorrow is back into the office for her 4 hours.

She had PT tonight.  Donald really worked that shoulder and arm.  It seems to be getting better but the pain is still intense.  The doctor increased her medicine to 600 mg to help with the pain.  See pictures below:

Best part of PT for Beverly - After a hard work out she gets to laid down and rest while Donald does the pulling and stretching of the arm and finishes with the soothing Ultra-Sound.

That is it for tonight.  She is back in the office in the morning.  Give her a call or stop by to see how she is doing.
Keep those prayers coming, comment on her progress and most of all  keep that smile on your face.

Today was the big return to work day for Beverly.  She did just fine.  She was up early and dressed waiting on her sister Kim to pick her up.  Everyone at  work was excited to see her and welcome her back .  She only worked 4 hours per doctor’s orders.  She went home at lunch time and will return to work again on Wednesday.

This day reminded me of the first day of school.  Beverly said so too.  Clothes all laid out for the next day.  On the morning of you got up early and waited for the bus to come to take you to school.  In this case it was Kim to take her to work.  Beverly has come along way since July 23rd when she was operated on.  Today she proved that.  Back to work again.

Your prayers were answered.  Keep praying, commenting, and stop in to see her at work.

Saturday, October 31, 2009 Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween to you all from Beverly and Carol.  Hope you had a good one and got lots of candy and no tricks.  Beverly called me and said she got 9 kids at her door.  As for me I got  0 (zero).  Last year I had 1 little boy.  Halloween is not like it use to be.  It’s no fun anymore for us old people.  Guess it is the rain keeping them away.

Beverly had a good day shopping today.  It’s back to work on Monday for a few hours.  Beverly is very excited about coming back to work even if it is only for a few hours.  She is looking forward to seeing all her friends and co-workers once again.  She needs this time out of her house.  I think it will help her recover faster also.  Just the getting up and moving around an office instead of her townhouse will help her a lot.  Visit her in her office when you have a few minutes.

I would like to send a get well wish to JoAnn Brasted who broke her ankle and is laid up right now.  I know you are in pain with that ankle but remember we are here for you.  Beverly and I have included you in our prayers for a SPEEDY recovery.  Keep a smile on your face,  the sun will shine brighter tomorrow.  God Bless you.

My granddaughter Amanda Boswell also broke her foot last night stepping down off  a curb.  She is fine.  Not a bad break.  She does have a cast on.  Teenagers love this, now the boyfriend will pay more attention to her.  ha ha.   Richie already loves her a lot.  Amanda we love you Baby.  Stay off that foot and let it rest.  Use those crutches.  If you talk really nice to Auntie Bev she might let you use her wheelchair.  ha ha

Well that is it for tonight.  Enjoy those trick or treats.  Hope more treats than tricks.  Keep smiling.  Change your clocks tonight (BACK).  Keep those prayers coming in on all those that need it right now.  Send comments and come to visit Beverly when you can.
